How long does onboarding actually take?
Most mid-market environments transition inside 30 days from contract sign. The first week is environment review, week two covers agent rollout and identity tie-in, weeks three and four cover SIEM source connection, runbooks and handover. Larger or multi-site environments are scoped against a project plan during proposal.
Do we have to switch every capability at once?
No. Modular by design means you can start with managed IT and security, then add cloud, telephony or web on a separate cadence. Each recurring category is priced per unit so you only pay for what we're actively running.
Is support really hours-based, or is it tickets?
Support is sold as included monthly hours, not tickets — Bronze 4h, Silver 12h, Gold 30h, Platinum 80h. We bill in 15-minute blocks (most providers bill 1-hour minimums). Overflow is charged at the tier's effective hourly rate. Project work is always quoted up-front at our standard $120/hr and never absorbs your support pool.
What's vCIO, and do we need it?
vCIO is a strategic IT leader at your table — roadmap, budget, vendor strategy and board-ready reporting — without hiring one full-time. The retainer is $1,500/month (includes 4 vCIO hours); ad-hoc vCIO work is $400/hr. Most clients add it once they're past 50 staff or when IT decisions start showing up in board papers.
What does "MDR" mean in your standard coverage?
Managed Detection & Response — endpoint and identity telemetry continuously monitored, with active response on confirmed threats. It's part of standard managed-coverage pricing on workstations and servers, not a premium add-on.
Do you sell hardware?
We can procure and stage hardware as a separate line item — it's not bundled into recurring fees. Pricing is transparent: vendor cost plus a documented procurement margin, agreed in writing before purchase.
What if we're already mid-contract with someone?
We do this often. We'll map your existing contracts, identify the cleanest break or co-existence point, and propose a transition that respects your notice periods. Onboarding can run in parallel with notice if you'd like.
Do you work with regulated industries?
Yes — including healthcare, financial services and education. We align controls to ISM, Essential Eight, APRA CPS 234 and ISO 27001 patterns, and produce regulator-ready reporting as part of the quarterly review pack.
